Welcome to the WhippleBenchmarks.org Collaborative
The WhippleBenchmarks Collaborative aims at defining benchmark criteria for best achievable outcomes in pancreatic surgery.
The WhippleBenchmarks 1 Collaborative study, led by Prof Clavien, was a great success at establishing benchmarks after pancreaticoduodenectomy in a low-risk population and reporting our findings in Annals of Surgery (Sánchez-Velázquez et. al. Ann Surg, February 2019).
The new WhippleBenchmarks 2 Collaborative study, led by Mr Fusai, aims at defining benchmark criteria for best achievable outcomes after pancreaticoduodenectomy with portal vein resection.
This will be achieved by conducting a multicenter cohort study of all consecutive pancreaticoduodenectomies with portal vein resection including several high volume centers over a period of 10 years.
